Studies were conducted at Giang Bien (Long Bien district, Hanoi) from February 2009 to May 2009 in order to investigate the insect pest species on vegetables growing with VietGAP and their natural enemies. Study results showed that 22 species of insect pests present in the period February 2009 - May 2009 in Giang Bien, of which 7 are key pest species and 15 are secondary pest species.! 27 natural enemies of the key pest species were found. The population dynamics of Plutella xylostella, Pieris rapae and Spodoptera litura were studied during growing stages of the vegetables growing with VietGAP. The used IPM program reduced the adverse effects on natural enemies, particularly on the parasitoids.
