Vietnam's legal harmonisation in the context of the establishment of the ASEAN Community on 31 December 2015 is not only the inevitable demand of ASEAN integration but also the intrinsic requirement of Vietnam in the process of improving its market economy laws and institutions as a strategic breakthrough. On the basis of the analysis of benefits, advantages and challenges of Vietnam s process of legal harmonisation in ASEAN, the paper will make four proposals for Vietnam to speed up effectively this process.
