Effects of several breathing crack to dynamic responses of the planar frame subjected to a harmonic excitation are presented in this paper. The bar element has a breathing crack, characteristics of its stiffness are varying depend on states of cracks and curvature of the beam axis at the crack position, so the system behavior is nonlinear. The equation of motion is derived by principle of dynamic balance, the finite element method and solved by the Newmark integration method in the time domain. The computer program developed by MATLAB language to analyse efffects of deep and number of cracks to responses are carried out.
