Tu An Hieu Nghia religion always guides believersto sincerity, goodness, beauty, and faith in a world withoutsuffering, transmigration (samsara). Therefore, all aspects ofthe spiritual and material life of the believers are influencedby religious ideals. For the followers of Tu An Hieu Nghiareligion in Tri Tôn district, An Giang province, it is clearlyshowed in daily cultural behavior and the rituals andpractices. Despite being the Vietnamese, the funeral rites ofTu An Hieu Nghia religion’s believers in Tri Tôn district, AnGiang province have many differences affected by theirreligious characteristics (according to the teachings of theirFounder). However, as a result of influences from the outsideand changes from the inside, the funeral customs of the Tu AnHieu Nghia religion’s believers are no longer the same astraditional ones. This article indicates the funeral rites andrules of followers, changes of the current funeral rituals andthe causes led to changes
