To study the real situation of disability and rehabilitation of handicappepls in the Hung Thang and Vinh Hong districts, Hai Duong province. Objectives: Describe the real situation of handicapped persons and apprised the needs of rehabilitations of handicappepls in the Hung Thang and Vinh Hong disstricts. Patients and methods: A prospectives study carryout in 378 handicappeds persons who are olds from 1 to 99 living in Hung Thang and Vinh Hong districts. Results:A persent of the handicapped persons in two districts: 2.74 percent, It's 7 groups of dificutltives about: dificuties movement: 34.1 percent; dificuties for looking: 13.5 percent; for hearing and speaking: 19.8 percent; for learning: 7.1 percent; unknown to act: 21.7 percent; epylepsy: 3.7 percent; loss of sensations: 0 percent. The needs of rehabilitation in common: 34.1 percent; in under 15 of old: 72.1 percent; from 15 old: 29.9 percent; the group of the difficulties for hearing and spearking:17.6 percent; for learning: 77.8 percent; for falling in line with commun: 87.6 percent, in all the groups of handicapped personses is inthe level 2. Conclusion: The percent of the handicappied persons and the needs of rehabilitation is very high in to the studies. That's very neccessary to application of the community based rehabilitation.
