In Yen Bai, Son Tra grows naturally and is cultivated in some districts such as Mu Cang Chai, Tram Tau, Van Chan and Van Yen; Mu Cang Chai and Tram Tau are two districts that have the most area of Son Tra. Currently, Son Tra products are in huge demand but have not been interested in developing. Research results of the authors showed that the development of indigenous trees such as Son Tra is entirely appropriate, bringing high economic efficiency and is a right direction for the Yen Bai province, not only contribute to raising incomes for local people but also have the effect of regreening bare hills. For farmers to stick with forests, it should have positive solutions and the reasonable investment right from the planting until extraction as recommended product by the author.
