The relocation and resettlement will lead to major change in fanning practices, change in sources of livelihood and the living environment in areas with characteristics of ethnic minority and mountainous countryside, The results of research at the Tien Phong commune, Hua Na hydropower' project, Que Phong district, Nghe An province show that more than eighty percent (80 percent) of households said that their life in the new place is less than the old one. About seventy percent (70 percent) of households are not satisfied with the compensation, resettlement compensation. By descriptive statistics and comparative methods, the article focuses on evaluating the changes in livelihoods, finding out the existing advantages and disadvantages,. Base on these results of the study, the authors propose a number of the useful, and helpful solutions to establish the sustainable live for the resettlement people of the Hua Na hydroelectric project in particular and the other hydroelectric projects in general.
