By analyzing Korea's official development aid (ODA) policy, the article provides an overview of Korea's ODA to Vietnam over the past 30 years. Korea's ODA has provided an important source of finance, and it has actively contributed to the growth of Vietnam's economy. Korea's priority policy in allocating ODA capital is always closely aligned with the economic development strategy of the Government of Vietnam, meeting the long-term interests of both Vietnam and Korea. The article also gives the key orientations of receiving Korean ODA for Vietnam in the coming time, focusing on the fields of transport infrastructure development, administration relating to environment for development and investment, education, water management and health care.
