This study was conducted among 105 Navy soldiers in order to investigate the effect of Ngoc Linh ginseng tablet product on some indices of cardiovascular and central nerve system. Subjects was devided in to 2 groups: Study group had 75 soldies who took Ngoc Linh ginseng and control gorup had 30 soldiers who took placebo. Studied indeces such as heart rate, blood pressure, electrocardiograph, ability of attention and memory and inforamtion processing speed were recorded and measured before and after 6 month of taking medication. The result showed that, Ngoc Linh ginseng had improved the cardiac muscle electric activity. After taking medication, the time of T wave (0,145 +/- 0,014) was lower than that at before taking medication (0,167 +/- 0,035). Ngoc Linh ginseng had also improved the central nerve activities. After taking medication, the ability of attention and memory were improved, the time of reflection was shorter and information processing speed was faster than that at before taking medication.
