Ngô nếp (Zea mays subsp. ceratina (Kuelshov) Zhuk) là một trong các hạt ngũ cốc phổ biến và quan trọng tại Việt Nam, đặc biệt ở các vùng núi phía bắc. Anthocyanin được coi là một dấu hiện stress do hạn gây ra. Sự biểu hiện của các gen cấu trúc hay các enzyme tham gia vào các phản ứng sinh tổng hợp anthocyanin ở các bộ phận cây ngô rất cần sự có mặt các nhân tố phiên mã thuộc họ Myb, Myc (hay bHLH) và WD40. Các gen thuộc họ Myb điều hòa sinh tổng hợp anthocyanin ở ngô đã được nghiên cứu nhiều gồm các gen C1, P1, Pl. Trong khi các gen thuộc họ Myc (hay bHLH) được nghiên cứu gồm B, R, Sn và Lc (Leaf color). Bài báo này phân tích trình tự đoạn gen Lc hoạt hóa sinh tổng hợp anthocyanin từ giống ngô nếp địa phương Nà Hạo (NH). Gen Lc phân lập được có kích thước dài 1833bp, mã hóa cho 610 amino acid với 14 vị trí nucleotide sai khác so với trình tự NM001111869 và trình tự KJ726800; 8 vị trí sai khác so với trình tự M26227. Trình tự gen có sự tương đồng 99,23% - 99,56% so với các tình tự gen thuộc họ bHLH. Phân tử protein Lc suy diễn có sự tương đồng với các trình tự thuộc họ bHLH công bố trên GenBank từ 96,2% - 98% với 8 amino acid sai khác so với trình tự mã số NM001111869 và KJ726800, 5 amino acid sai khác so với trình tự mã số M26227.

Sticky corn (Zea mays subsp. ceratina (Kuelshov) Zhuk) is one of the important and widely grown plants in Vietnam, especially in mountainous regions. Anthocyanin is considered as a sign of the stress caused by drought. The expression of the structural genes or enzymes involved in the anthocyanin biosynthesis in parts of maize plants needs the presence of transcription factors belonging to MYB, Myc (or bHLH) and WD40 family. Genes of MYB family regulating anthocyanin biosynthesis have been studied including C1, P1, Pl. While genes of Myc family (or bHLH) studied include B, R, Sn and Lc (Leaf color). This paper analyzed the sequence of the Lc gene which activates anthocyanin biosynthesis from Na Hao sticky cultivars (symbolized by NH). The sequence of the Lc gene consists of 1833 bp encoding 610 amino acids with differences in 14 positions compared with the NM001111869 and KJ726800 sequences and 8 positions compared with the M26227 sequence. They are highly similar to others in maize bHLH family (from 99.23% to 99.56%). The deductive proteins of the Lc gene is also homologous with others in maize bHLH family (from 96.2% to 98%) with differences in 8 positions compared with the NM001111869 and KJ726800 sequences and 5 positions compared with the M26227 sequence.
