Nowadays, fibers reinforced concrete has been discovered and used for a long times in construction. It has been researched from the early 1960s. Nowaday, many type of fibers such as: fiber glass, steel fiber, polyproperlene fiber and natural fibers are used in most of structural concrete element and that are initialy interested in Vietnam. Although there are many advantages but in some case fiber concrete can not replace traditional concrete under major tensile stress. Fiber can be mix with reinforced concrete to become an special structural elements that have special bearing capacity features. Other advantages of fiber reinforced concrete are: + Decrease strain due to creep and shrinkage. + Increase shear strength of concrete. + Improve and prevent cracking formation due to cement hydration in concrete.
