Aim: investigate knowledge about, attitude toward and practice of aphaeresis donation. Method: A cross-sectional survey is conducted on 342 donors in National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion and Mobile blood collection bus in 2011. Results: 28.6 percent of respondents have good knowledge about aphaeresis and and aphaeresis donation; 74.5 percent of donors are ready to donate aphaeresis. 39 percent of respondents donated aphaeresis; among them, 54.8 percent were students. The factors relating to knowledge about, attitude towards and practice of aphaeresis donation are age (over 25 years old), educational background at least vocational training.
