Parazacco là một giống cá nước ngọt trong họ Cyprinidae, có nguồn gốc từ Trung Quốc và Việt Nam. Hiện tại, có hai loài được công nhận trong giống này là: P. fasciatus và P. spilurus. Trong nghiên cứu này, chúng tôi mô tả mẫu vật của giống cá Parazacco thu được ở Bắc Việt Nam, gồm: Vườn quốc gia Phia Oắc - Phia Đén, Cao Bằng, Khu bảo tồn loài và sinh cảnh Nam Xuân Lạc, Bắc Kạn và sông Tiên Yên, Quảng Ninh. Kết quả nghiên cứu cho thấy, các mẫu vật có sự đa dạng về đặc điểm hình thái như: đường bên, màu sắc sọc đen dọc thân hay răng hầu so với các loài trong giống Parazacco hiện biết ở Việt Nam và giữa các mẫu trong nghiên cứu này. Do sự đa dạng đó nên các mẫu vật thuộc giống cá này thu được ở Bắc Việt Nam chưa xác định được tên loài. Kết quả này cung cấp những thông tin quan trọng cho những nghiên cứu tiếp theo về phân loại học giống Parazacco ở Bắc Việt Nam.

Parazacco is a genus of freshwater fish in the family Cyprinidae, being native to China and Vietnam. There are currently two species recognized in this genus, i.e., P. fasciatus and P. spilurus. In the present study, we described samples of this genus collected in Phia Oac-Phia Den National Park, Cao Bang Province, Nam Xuan Lac Species and Habitat Conservation Area, Bac Kan Province and Tien Yen River, Quang Ninh Province. The results show that they have differences in morphological c-haracteristics, such as shape of lateral line, a broad and dark longitudinal tripe on body and pharyngeal tooth between them with species of Parazacco recorded in Vietnam and even among samples in this study. Therefore, these samples have not been identified to species level. These findings provide fundamental information for further studies on the taxonomy of this genus in Northern Vietnam.
