The present study aimed at examination of the extracted effect from the Polyalthia Longifolia var.pendula Hort. leaves with five different solvents (distilled water, ether, chloroform, ethanol and ethyl acetate) and evaluating the anti-bacterial effect of the extract solution with the above mentioned solvents to 2 bacteria: Salmonella and Escherichia coli (isolated from the fecal samples of the cholera infected ducks). The studied result showed that the extracted efficacy was various from 9.48 percent (distilled water solvent - DW) to 15.95 percent (chloroform solvent). A;t the concentration of 100 mg/ml, all the extracts showed good anti-bacterial effect with Salmonella and Ecoli. For Salmonella, the tested result of the extract solution on bacteria showed that diameter of the bacterial inhibition zone were from 15.33 mm (DW solvent) to 21.33 mm (chloroform solvent). Diameter of the bacterial inhibition zones of E coli were from 15.00 mm (DW solvent) to 22.33 mm (chloroform solvent). The extract solution with chloroform showed the best anti-bacterial efficacy. This extract maintained the anti-bacterial effect to Salmonella at concentration of 512 dilution times (0.2mg/ml), and to E coli at concentration of 256 dilution times (0.39mg/ml).
