So sánh kết quả điều trị của phẫu thuật cắt amidan bằng dao plasma với cắt amidan kinh điển tại bệnh viện Tai Mũi Họng TP Hồ Chí Minh năm 2020 bằng phương pháp cắt ngang mô tả. Phương pháp: Nghiên cứu định lượng với 100 bệnh nhân phẫu thuật cắt amidan bằng dao Plasma và 36 bệnh nhân phẫu thuật cắt amidan kinh điển.Kết quả: Nhóm Plasma có thời gian phẫu thuật trung bình rút ngắn gần 7 phút (giảm 31,6%), lượng máu mất trung vị là 5ml ở nhóm phẫu thuật bằng dao plasma, ít hơn gần gấp 5 lần so với can thiệp amidan kinh điển, ghi nhận 0/100 bệnh nhân ở nhóm phẫu thuật amidan chảy máu trong vòng 24 giờ, so với 4/36 bệnh nhân phẫu thuật amidan kinh điển với sự khác ở hai nhóm có ý nghĩa thống kê (p < 0,001). Mức độ đau sau mổ ở nhóm phẫu thuật amidan bằng plasma thấp hơn 19,98%, 35,47% và 60% lần lượt ở các ngày 1, 5 và 12 sau mổ so ở nhóm kinh điển (với p<0,001). Số ngày trung bình bệnh nhân trở lại làm việc/học tập bình thường là sau 7,19 ngày ở nhóm phẫu thuật plasma, thấp hơn 1 ngày (p<0,001), số ngày trung bình bệnh nhân ăn uống hết đau là sau 8,95 ngày ở nhóm phẫu thuật plasma, phục hồi nhanh hơn 1,59 ngày ở nhóm phẫu thuật kinh điển (p<0,05). Kết luận và khuyến nghị: Bệnh viện cần thông tin tư vấn cho người bệnh về kết quả điều trị của các phương pháp khác nhau qua các buổi sinh hoạt chuyên đề, báo cáo khoa học và trên các phương tiện truyền thông của bệnh viện: website, facebook, Fanpage.

Compare the treatment results of Plasma knife tonsillectomy with classical tonsillectomy at Ho Chi Minh City Hospital in 2020 by descriptive cross-sectional method. Methods: Crossectional study with 100 patients with plasma knife tonsillectomy and 36 patients with classic tonsillectomy. Result: The Plasma group had an average surgical time shortened by nearly 7 minutes (reduced by 31.6%), the median blood loss was 5ml in the plasma knife surgery group, nearly 5 times less than the classic tonsillectomy, recorded 0/100 patients in the tonsillectomy group bleeding within 24 hours, compared with 4/36 patients with classic tonsillectomy with the difference in the two groups was statistically significant (p<0.001). The level of postoperative pain in the tonsillectomy group with plasma was 19.98%, 35.47% and 60% lower, respectively, on days 1, 5 and 12 after surgery than in the classic group (with p<0.001). The average number of days patients returned to normal work/school was after 7.19 days in the plasma surgery group, 1 day lower (p<0.001), the average number of days after eating and drinking stopped pain after 8 days. .95 days in the plasma surgery group, 1.59 days faster recovery in the classical surgery group (p<0.05). Conclusion and recommendations: The hospital needs to inform patients about the treatment results of different methods through seminars, scientific reports and the hospital's media: website, facebook, Fanpage.
