Phát triển hydro từ các nguồn tái tạo là xu thế chung hiện nay. Hai hướng chủ đạo để sản xuất hydro tái tạo là điện phân nước và khí hóa sinh khối. Trong khi công nghệ khí hóa sinh khối đã được thương mại hóa hoàn toàn, công nghệ điện phân nước mới được thương mại nóa một phần. Trong lĩnh vực chế biến dầu khí, để đảm bảo phát triển bền vững và tận dụng được cơ sở hạ tầng sẵn có, các nguồn tái tạo nói chung và hydro tái tạo nói riêng có thể được tích hợp vào các nhà máy lọc - hóa dầu trên cơ sở lợi thế và bối cảnh cụ thể của các nhà máy. Hydro tái tạo cho các Nhà máy Lọc dầu Dung Quất, Liên hợp Lọc hóa dầu Nghi Sơn và Nhà máy Đạm Phú Mỹ có thể được đi từ quá trình điện phân nước biển và nước sông sử dụng năng lượng tái tạo từ gió và mặt trời. Đối với Nhà máy Đạm Cà Mau, hydro tái tạo có thể được cung cấp thông qua quá trình khí hóa sinh khối.

The oil and gas industry is experiencing the third oil price crisis within 12 years. The 2020 crisis is completely different from the previous oil price crises supply exceeds demand, which has been simultaneously unfolding with the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. Although the extent of the impact and the timing of this crisis are difficult to predict, it can be seen that even with a fundamental change, the oil and gas industry will hardly return to a period of vigorous development as before. Despite the massive oil price crisis, crude oil is still the world's leading fuel. The oil and gas industry needs to have strong transformations in order to ensure safe and profitable operations in the toughest conditions. The article assesses the oil price crisis history, analyses the impacts of the crisis and the Covid-19 pandemic on the production and business of the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group in 2020, and gives some suggestions for its sustainable development.
