Background: Health-related quality of life (HRQOL) is an important measure of outcome that is knownto improve after cardiac transplantation and this study presents descriptive analyses of HRQOL in patientsafter cardiac transplantation at the Viet Duc University Hospital.Patients and Methods: Descriptive retrospective and prospective study was conducted with consecutivepatients after cardiac transplantation patients (n = 23; response rate 100% [n = 23]) from June 2012 to April2020 at the Cardiovascular and Thoracic Centre, Viet Duc University Hospital by using SF-36 questionaire.Results: The mean scores of 4 physical health domains including physical functioning, role physical, bodily pain and general health were 87.4;86.6;92.1 and 80.8, respectively. The mean scores of 4 mental health domains including vitality, social functioning, role emotional and mental health were 86.6;79.2;83.5and 86.6, respectively In multivariate analysis, factors associated with HRQOL after cardiac transplantationwere age, occupation, education level, diabetes mellitus, gout, kidney failure, cirrhosis disease.Conclusions: The total points of HRQOL were hight in all domains after the heart tranplantationsignifically impruve HRQOL recipients.
