Objective: 1- The authors conducted study on the quick test and ELISA in HbsAg screening for blood donors. 2- Evaluation the factors affected the results of the HbsAg quick test. Method: Investigation of 102,010 samples tested by quick test, 136,193 samples tested by ELISA. Results: HbsAg positive by quick test is very high 8.07 percent and ELISA is 1.07 percent. Blood donation in mobile bus at the Hanoi centre has a lowest rate of HbsAg positive. The number of unit blood for blood donation sessions can affect of HBsAg positive, staff who made testing could affect the result. Conclusion: HBsAg screening by quick test is very important for the first time donnor, not only for blood transfusion safety but also for blood donors.
