According to Hong Deyuan, H. Yang, C. Jin bracts linear or needle, ca. 1.5-2.5um long. Pedicel ca. 1-1.5cm long. Calyx lobed to base; lobes irregular, upper lobes ca. 2 as long as lower lobes, 3-veined. Corolla white; corolla tube ca 1.2-1.5cm, glabrous inside; upper lip triangular-ovate, margin entire, lower lip 3-lobed. Stamens didynamous; anterior filaments basally with a appendage. Style included; stigma 2-lamellate. Capsule ovoid-elipsoid, peduncle 1.5-2cm long. Seed brown. It closes with L. latifolia (Blume) Koord. but differ as stem without lack of rhizome, upper lobes sepal ca. 2 as long as lower lobes, corolla tube glabrous inside, upper lip entire. Voucher specimens were collected in Thanhhoa province (Xuanlien Natural Reserver), deposited in the Herbarium of the Institute of Ecology and Biological Resources, Hanoi, Vietnam (HN).
