The sturgeons and rainbow trout groups, cold water species, were introduced to Vietnam since 2005 and they become important culture species in many high moutain areas, where are forming new model of the production and helping to produce a diversity of fisheries' products. The cold water aquaculture plays an important role to creative job in the remote areas. However, to farming both sturgeon and rainbow trout groups in aquaculture have not based on fundamental scientific and technological criteria's for sustainable development. Most of them has make self-developmental properties that depending on cold water available in the location. This paper brings forward some researched results and evaluations about sturgeons, salmon's aquaculture in allover world and in Vietnam. Base on the results, initial solution and strategy for sustainable cold water aquaculture in Vietnam.
