In mining and tunneling in Vietnam and over the world there happened a lot of geological hazards such as subsidence, sinkholes, collapse in underground water and gas ingress and also gas explosion and rock bursts and tremors. Investigation for forecasting and evaluating the geological hazards in order to prevent and reduce risks, it is an important issue. The are a lot of methods used to solve these problems and numericalmethod is very effective. The paper gives an overview about numerical methods and presents some investigation results.
