Objectives: describe a new and less invasive surgical procedure termed endoscopic assisted arytenoid abduction surgery and to evaluate its outcomes. Study Design: the authors have carrying out a demonstrated prospective study on 5 consecutive surgical patients sustained from endoscopic assited arytenoid abduction surgery at ENT Dep. of UMC HCMC from Mars to August 2014. Methods: The surgery technique involves the placement of permanent adducting sutures around the vocal process (MP) of the arytenoid cartilage using two needles, a penetration needle and a loop needle, under endoscopic guidance. The post-op outcomes directed toward doccumented the surgical time, width of laryngeal cleft, post op. dyspnea, the voice handicap index and patients content. Results: the mean average surgical time is 60 minute. all patients were discharged the next day, all patients could return to daily activities. The average width of laryngeal cleft is 4mm. Conclusions: endoscopic assisted arytenoid abduction surgery is a simple and effective arytenoid rotation procedure.
