The purpose of ponds build in the coastal provinces is cultivated shrimp, specially, it is tiger shrimp. However, the yield of the shrimp has been decreasing after some crops by a lot of causes, in tliere are cause of epidemic diseases and polluted environment. There ponds have changed cultivated subject to brackish fishs and crabs but economic effect is still low, or it is fallowed (very low cost for investment or whole fallow). Identification and inventory of fallowed area of cultivated tiger shrimp ponds will be important signification to support the managers change policies in order to mitigate the damage for shrimp farm. The result of research show that, the fallowed area of cultivated tiger shrimp. ponds in the coast of North and North Center of Vietnam was 28821.4 ha, the Central Vietnam of 13907.9 ha and the Smtih Vietnam of 67591.2 ha. For whole Vietnam, the fallowed area of cultivated tiger shrimp ponds to reach of 110320.5 ha. The report on the fallowed area of cultivated tiger shrimp ponds from coastal provinces in 2008 was 78590 ha, it is 31730,5 ha of difference in comparing with the result of reseach, about 40 percent of the report.
