Rừng ngập mặn là vùng đất ngập nước chuyển tiếp giữa đất liền và đại dương. Hệ sinh thái rừng ngập mặn nhận nhiều tương tác về dòng chảy và trầm tích sông, biển. Nghiên cứu này được thực hiện nhằm xác định giá trị khí CO2 phát thải từ giao diện nước – không khí tại diện tích rừng ngập mặn trồng tại cửa sông Ba Lạt. Kết quả của nghiên cứu cho thấy sự phát thải CO2 từ giao diện nướckhông khí phụ thuộc chu kì thủy triều, biên độ thủy triều và mùa trong năm. Chu kì thủy triều nước lớn phát thải CO2 nhiều hơn chu kì nước ròng. Biên độ thủy triều càng lớn, sự phát thải CO2 càng cao. Giá trị phát thải trong mùa mưa cao hơn so với trong mùa khô. Giá trị phát thải CO2 từ giao diện nước-không khí trung bình là 0,15 ± 0,03 MgC ha-1 năm-1. Giá trị này thấp hơn 11,67 lần lượng phát thải từ bề mặt đất vào khí quyển (1,75 MgC ± 0,76 ha-1 năm-1) trong công bố năm 2018 của chúng tôi tại cùng một địa điểm.

Mangroves are transition wetland located between land and sea. Mangrove ecosystems receive many interactions on water flows and sediments between river and sea. This study was conducted to determine the value of CO2 emissions from the water-air interface at the planted mangrove area of the Ba Lat Mouth. The study results idicate that the CO2 emission from the water surface depends on the tidal cycles, the tidal ranges and the seasons. Spring tides release more CO2 than the neap tides. The larger the tidal range, the higher the CO2 emissions. The emission value in the wet season is higher than in the dry season. The average CO2 emission value from water-air interface is 0.15 ± 0.03 MgC ha-1 year-1. This value is 11.67 times lower than the amount emission from the sediment-air interface (1.75 MgC ± 0.76 ha-1 year-1) in our published research in 2018 at the same location.
