Trong bài báo này, cấu trúc và hoạt tính gây độc tế bào của ulvan, một sulfate polysacc-haride được phân lập từ rong lục Enteromorpha intestinalis, đã được nghiên cứu. Kết quả cho thấy polysacc-haride bao gồm rhamnose, galactose, xylose, manose, glucose (tỷ lệ mol Rha: Xyl: Glc = 1: 0,04: 0,03), acid uronic (24,5%) và hàm lượng sulfate (17,6%), trọng lượng phân tử của nó là 210.000 g/mol. Ulvan có disacc-haride dạng A3S: →4)β-D-Glucuronic acid (1→4)α-LRhamnose-3-sulfate(1→, mạch nhánh rhamnose liên kết với mạch chính ởvị trí C-2. Ulvan thể hiện hoạt tính gây độc tế khá tốt trên 3 dòng tếbào: ung thư gan HepG2 (IC50 =31,81 ± 2,87µg/ml), ung thư vú MCF7 (IC50 = 26,45 ± 1,36µg/ml) và ung thư cổ tử cung Hela (IC50 =34,68 ± 3,84 µg/ml).

In this paper, structure and cytotoxic activity of ulvan, a sulfated polysacc-haride isolated f-rom green seaweed Enteromorpha intestinalis, were determined. The results showed that the polysacc-haride was composed of rhamnose, galactose, xylose, manose, glucose (mole ratio of Rha : Xyl : Glc equal to 1 : 0.04 : 0.03), uronic acid (24.5%) and sulfate content (17.6%), its molecular weight is 210,000 g/mol. This ulvan mainly consists of disacc-haride A3S type: →4)β-D-Glucuronic acid (1→4)α-L-Rhamnose-3-sulfate(1→, branchs were rhamnose residues linkaged to the main chain at C-2 position. The ulvan showed a significant cytotoxic activity against hepatocellular carcinoma HepG2 (IC50 = 31.81 ± 2.87µg/ml), human breast cancer MCF7 (IC50 = 26.45 ± 1.36µg/ml), and cervical cancer Hela (IC50 = 34.68 ± 3.84 µg/ml).
