Objective(s): Imaging diagnosis of biliary diseases is established by using ultrasonography (US), cholecystoscintigraphy (HIDA), or both. Although US modalitie have been effective in diagnosing biliary diseases, surgeons may request both tests in an attempt to increase the diagnostic accuracy. This paper illustrates the imaging's features of scintigraphy in acute cholescystits (AG), chronic cholescystits (GG) and biliary obstruction (BB). Methods: the authors conducted a retrospective review of 50 patients diagnosed with cholescystits, obstructed bile duct, who underwent underwent both US and HIDA. Results: The three groups of diseases was divided. The HIDA scan has excluded 48 percent patients considered to AC, 50 percent BB patiens who has gall bladder ejection fraction (GBEF) under 35 percent and 46 percent OB patients. Conclusions: HIDA scan is a complimentary modality combined with US, clinical symptoms and others in diagnosis biliary diseases.
