Based on the analysis of morphological characteristics of 104 fish samples, the authors have identified 3 species in the research area: Garra imberba, Garra orientalis, Gana mirofrotis and 3 phenol: Gana sp1., Garra cf. imberba. Garra cf. mirofrontis which belong to genus-Garra Hamilton, 1822. It is added that Garra mirofrotis and 3 phenol Garra sp1., Garra cf. imberba. Garra cf. mirofrontis are found in the North Central part of Vietnam. The research also shows that there is no Garra pingi (Tchang, 1929) in the research area. The research also points out that in the North Central part of Vietnam, Garra imberba is only distributed in Quang Binh province; Garra orientalis, Garra mirofrotis are not found in Quang Binh province; Garra sp1. is not distributed in Thanh Hoa and Quang Binh province; Garra cf. imberba is found in Nghe An and Ha Tinh province, and Garra cf. mirofrontis is only distributed in Thanh Hoa and Nghe An province.
