Hai loài Chàng sa pa (Nidirana chapaensis) và ếch suối meng-la (Sylvirana menglaensis) lần đầu tiên được ghi nhận ở tỉnh Lai Châu dựa trên các mẫu vật thu được ở huyện Sìn Hồ. Loài Nidirana chapaensis có đặc điểm nhận dạng như sau SVL 45,2 – 46,4 mm (ở con đực), 54,0 – 54,5 mm (ở con cái); giữa lưng có sọc trắng chạy từ sau gáy tới cuối thân; tương quan chiều dài giữa các ngón tay II

Based on a recent collection of amphibians from Sin Ho forest, we herein report two species of Ranidae, Nidirana chapaensis and Sylvirana menglaensis, for the first time from Lai Chau province. Diagnostic characters of Nidirana chapaensis SVL 45.2 – 46.4 mm in adult males, 54.0 – 54.5 mm in adult females; dorsum with a light mid-dorsal stripe; relative length of fingers II
