Effective management of production processes is an indispensable part of modern businesses. Modeling of manufacturing processes is the fastest technique to be able to find exact solutions, and it allows for accurate forecasting and allows evaluation of different alternatives. One of the main solutions of production planning is the simulation model of this process. Many new tools are used to support decision making when designing manufacturing systems. In this article, the research team presented the results obtained using modeling techniques to simulate a realistic stainless steel pipe production system using Tecnomatix Plant Simulation software. The research results will show the advantages and disadvantages of the current production system, and will also allow conclusions to be drawn about the effectiveness or ineffectiveness of a system developed in the future.
