This was a study conducted among 1910 subjects (935 males and 975 females) aged 30 and over at rural area to analyze factors associated with the increase uric acid in serum. Results showed that uric add level had positive association with waist circumference, waist / hip , BMI, triglycerides, cholesterol, and LDL-C (p0.001). This study developed two models to predict serum uric acid levels.
