Nghiên cứu này được thực hiện nhằm xác định sự có mặt của reovirus ở gà nuôi tại tỉnh Bắc Giang. Tổng số 27 mẫu gộp gồm dịch ổ khớp và gân của gà được thu thập từ gà có các biểu hiện như còi cọc, viêm khớp và viêm bao gân tại một số trang trại thuộc các huyện Tân Yên, Yên Thế và Hiệp Hoà, tỉnh Bắc Giang từ tháng 10/2022 đến 1/2023. Kết quả phản ứng PCR cho thấy, số mẫu dương tính với hệ gen của reovirus ở gà là 1/7 (14,29%) và 1/9 (11,11%) mẫu thu thập từ huyện Tân Yên và Yên Thế, trong khi đó không có mẫu dương tính nào được phát hiện đối với các mẫu thu thập tại huyện Hiệp Hoà. Kết quả giải trình tự một phần gen σC cho thấy chủng virus thực địa ở gà có biểu hiện viêm khớp thuộc nhóm reovirus cluster I và gần với chủng reovirus đã được báo cáo ở Trung Quốc. Kết quả của nghiên cứu này bổ sung thông tin về tình hình nhiễm reovirus ở gà, làm cơ sở cho việc xây dựng các biện pháp chẩn đoán và phòng chống dịch bệnh trên gà và những nghiên cứu chuyên sâu về reovirus sau này.

This study aimed to identify reovirus infection in chickens raised in several districts in Bac Giang province. A total of 27 pooled samples including synovial fluid and tendons were collected from chickens with clinical signs of running-stuning syndorme, arthritis and tenosynovitis raised in Tan Yen, Yen The and Hiep Hoa district of Bac Giang province from October 2022 to January 2023. Results of polymerase chain reaction (PCR) showed that the number of positive samples for the avian reovirus (ARV) genome were 1/7 (14.29%) and 1/9 (11.11%) samples collected in Tan Yen and Yen The districts, respectively; whereas no sample was positive for the viral genome from chickens farmed in Hiep Hoa district. Analysis of σC gene sequences revealed that the field strains obtained in this study belonged to the cluster I and were genetically closed to the Chinese ARV strain. The finding of this study supplements information on reovirus infection is a basis for eveloping diagnostic and disease prevention measures in chickens and further study.
