In the 10 year period from 2002 up to now, the coal output and the driving volume have increased nearly 2.8 times; otherwise, the driving speed has been not increased significantly. For increasing coal mining productivity and labor safety, in this paper, the authors refers to the problem of the driving mechanization as well as the initial results in this field recently.
