The paper focuses on analysis and estimation of financial strength and business performance of enterprises in the years 2006-2013 through various development and financial indexes. The results show that in the surveyed period the average size of Vietnamese enterprises tended to contract, their structure of capital became more dependent of loans and their business performance was falling. Such findings allow authors to suggest measures to improve the corporate financial strength and business performance in the coming years.
