Trí tuệ nhân tạo (AI) được cho là một trong những công nghệ chính trong thế kỷ XXI có tác động mạnh mẽ đến sự vận hành của quan hệ quốc tế. Theo giới phân tích, quốc gia nào trên thế giới có khả năng dẫn dẳt sự sáng tạo và kiểm soát được công nghệ AI sẽ nâng cao được sức mạnh quốc gia, năng lực kinh tế, quốc phòng, từ đó làm thay đổi sự cân hằng lực lượng trong môi trường chính trị - kinh tế quốc tế. Có thế thấy, AI đang và sẽ là xu hướng có nhiều tác động đa chiều đổi với quan hệ quốc tế nói chung và từng quốc gia nói riêng trong tương lai.
