At present, the steel wire ropes have been widely applied to the industrial sectors with their various applications. In the mining sector, the steel wire ropes have been used with the great quantity at open pit and underground mines with different pllrposes. In this paper, the authors refer to the control instruments for the steel wire ropes used for the cable winches and hosting cables at the coal mines of Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Holding Corporation Limited.
