Seven forest types were chosen, which are typical forests in Me Linh Station for Biodiversity, in order to account above ground biomass based on method of estimating biomass of dominant individual. The authors found that almost all of biomass concentrated in stem of tree and stem biomass makes about 65.29-86.78 percent of the total tree biomass. In addition, biomass of trees is the highest value compared with those of shrubs and grass. Generally, above-ground biomass of studied forest communities was estimated. following: The highest value was 149.29 tons/ha belonging to natural secondary forest after exploition; 119.01 tons/ha is the value of the natural secondary forest after exploition dominated by Styrax tonkinensis; 114.79 tons/ha is the value of the natural secondary forest after exploition dominated by Captanopsis indica; 83.75 tons/ha is the value of the natural secondary forest after exploition dominated by Knema globularia; 83.25 tons/ha is the value of the natural secondary forest after exploition dominated by Aquylaria crassna; 59.18 tons/ha is the value of the naturally recovered forest after shifting cultivationl and the lowest value was 37.61 tons/ha is the value of the natural secondary forest after exploition dominated by Neohouzeana dulloa.
