This study explores the transformationsin the performance art of Mo Muong in the digitalage. Traditionally, Mo Muong is performed byOong Mo and is closely associated with the ritualsand folk customs of the Muong community. Theseperformances typically occur within the physicaland cultural environments, such as stilt houses andcommunity gatherings. However, in modern times,the practice of Mo Muong has expanded into thedigital realm, integrating with cyberspace to formwhat is known as Digital Folklore (E-folklore).Through ethnographic fieldwork, analysis of folkliterature data, and in-depth interviews withstorytellers, this research examines how the digitalage has altered the practice, preservation, anddissemination of Mo Muong. The study alsohighlights the transition from traditional oraltransmission to digital recording and onlineinteraction between artisans and audiences,evaluating the impact on cultural heritage andcommunity identity.
