Method: used descriptive, prospective study method to research clinical characteristic in 184 supratentorial cerebral ischemic patients that consists of 108 diabetes patients and 76 patients without diabetes, treated in Thanh Nhan hospital from 1/2011 to 10/2013 Objectives: Describe clinical characteristic in cerebral ischemic patients with diabetes and without diabetes. Conclusions: Hemiparesis (88,0 percent), sensory loss (51,9 percent), facial paralysis (42,6 percent) were most common symptom in diabetes- cerebral ischemic group, that was similar to cerebral ischemic group without diabetes(p0.05). unconscious symptom was rare. The average NIHSS score of diabetes- cerebral ischemic group was 8,27 on admission and 6,3 at tenth day, wasn't different from cerebral ischemic group without diabetes (p0.05). Rate of neurological deterioration (22.2 percent) is higher in diabetes- cerebral ischemic group.
