This was a desriptive retrospective study through medical records on epidemiological characteristics of hand foot and mouth disease among people at Binh Giang district in Hai Duong province in 2012. Results showed there were 167 cases at all communes in the district. Age group were under 10 years of age, mostly were children aged 1 to 3 years old. Male had higher incidence of disease as compared to female (64.7 percent vs 35.3 percent). Peak period of disease were in April and June. Typical symptoms included blister, rash and fever. Duration for dissease remission mainly was under 7 days (73.6 percent). The results were quite similar to previous studies on the epidemiology of hand foot and mouth disease
