Phu Tho is a mountainous midland province, far from Hanoi capital 80 km, with a natural area of 353,342.5 hectares, agricultural land accounts for 27.99 percent. The populations in 2012 are 1,340,813 people, of which rural populations account for 80.12 percent. Phu Tho has 362,442 rural households, agricultural households account for 77.56 percent. Total production value is 47,233,746 million VND, in which agricultural sector accounts for 22.09 percent. In the last years, Doan Hung grapefruit towards commodity production in Phu Tho province have developed but still slowly, unstably, the lives of rural people need to be improved. Therefore, development of Doan Hung grapefruit towards commodity production in Phu Tho province is in order to increase efficiency, improve living standards of people, exploit strengths and it requires performing proper solutions for development of Doan Hung grapefruit in Phu Tho province towards commodity production.
