Supplying knowledge of sea and islands to students plays an important role. especially to the students of the mountainous area in the North West. Therefore, Tay Bac university always takes this into account when constructing the training program or designing syllabus. The teaching and learning contents are various ranging from natural, social and economic issues to the army security and current issues on the East Sea. In lessons related to seas and islands, the teachers employ a variety of teaching methods in order to widen the students' understanding about the matter and motivate them in learning. Apart from the in-class and extracurricular lessons, several workshops held at Tay Bac university also pay attention to this content. That is why the country's seas and islands are always in the mind of the students though they live far from these places.
