For planting the longtime industrial plantation, a early work needed to do is selection for suitable land. The selection work is multi triteria assesement for various factor in a land space, not only for soil but also for other resource as climate, water, landform ... For conducting this work, GIS is the most efective tool by its capability in integrated assesement and quick giving result with veryhigh accuracy. Rubber is a special industrial plant with high economic value. In tradiction. it is was grow in the hot climate region as in the south of Viet Nam but with some special variety, rubber can be grow in the low temperature region. In the developing plan for the North-west region of Viet Nam, rubber is a priority selected plant to be wide growing and Hoa Binh is a case study for this purpose.For conducting the studying, the model builer tool of the ARC/GIS has been used for automaticaly multicriteria assesement with several layers of natural condiction which related to the ecological conditions of rubber plant. Result of the processing is suitable map with difference suitability level for rubber plant. The result map can be used as the valuable referencing for, regional planning purpose of Hoa Binh province.
