Objectives: to evaluate the short-term outcomes of endoscopic snare cautery colorectal polypectomy conducted in Uong bi Vietnam - Sweden hospital. Subjects and methods: this is a restrospective study based on medical records of 200 patients, who had their colorectal polyps removal by the endoscopic snare cautery method. Results: 415/416 (99.8 percent) colorectal polyps of those 200 patients were successfully removed. Among 416 polyps, 9 (2.2 percent) polyps were bigger than 20mm, 3 (0.7 percent) were adenocarcinoma polyps. There was one polyp with submucosal invasion that was not completely removed, and four adenoma polyps with high grade of dysplasia. Nine patients (4.5 percent) with post polypectomy bleeding were well-controlled by endoscopic hemostasis methods. None of the patients had to undergo operation due to complications of the polypectomy. Conclusion: endoscopic snare cautery colorectal polypectomy in Uong bi Vietnam - Sweden hospital is a safe and effective procedure.
