Fe(III) complex of Schiff base from isatin and 8-aminoquinoline has been synthesized and characterized by MS and NMR spectra. The data showed that there were two complexes found in the product with the formulae [FeLCl5] and [FeL(HSO4)3] (L = isatin-8-aminoquinoline). Both had the octahedral geometry and their fragmental schemes under bombardment in the mass spectrometer were established. Their antibacterial, antifungal activities were also tested.
