The sample preparation procedure for the determination of 15N isotope abundance (15N-technique) in plant sample using emission spectrometer type 15N-analyzer (Japan) has been presented. The procedure based either on Kjeldahl-Rittenberg oxidation or Dumas combustion for converting ammonium salt into N2 gas suited for nitrogen isotope analysis by emission spectrimetry. The 15N-technique was, for the firts time in Vietnam, used for studying microbiological nitrogen fixation on legume
