Hiến pháp năm 2013 và pháp luật hiện hành đã quy định về việc Quốc hội quyết định và giám sát thực hiện chính sách dân tộc bảo đảm thực hiện đúng chủ trương của Đảng pháp luật của Nhà nước. Để cụ thể hóa chủ trương của Đảng, Hiến pháp năm 2013 cũng đặt ra yêu cầu đổi mới toàn diện và sâu sắc hơn nữa về xây dựng Nhà nước pháp quyền của dân, do dân, vì dân; thực hiện các chính sách ưu tiên phát triển vùng dân tộc thiểu số; bảo đảm quyền con người và các quyền cơ bản của công dân, trong đó có đồng bào dân tộc thiểu số. Bài viết đề xuất giải pháp giám sát thực hiện chính sách dân tộc của Quốc hội dong giai đoạn hiện nay.

The 2013 Constitution and existing laws have stipulated that the National Assembly makes ethnic policy decisions and supervises theữ implementation to ensure compliance with the Party's guidelines and the legislation. According to the 2013 Constitution, a rule- of-law state of the people, by the people, and for the people is to be built, which reqmres a comprehensive and profound renovation; preferential policies for ethnic minority region development should be implemented; human rights and citizens’ fundamental rights including rights of ethnic minorities should be guaranteed ensuring and specifies, which aims to specify the Party's guideline. The paper proposed solutions for the National Assembly’s supervision of the implementation of ethnic policies in the current period
