Gà nhiều cựa là một giống gà mang nguồn gen hiếm, tài nguyên sinh học quý, hiện đang được nuôi với số lượng rất ít tại một số hộ trên địa bàn tỉnh Thái Nguyên. Nghiên cứu được tiến hành trên tổng 215 gà nhiều cựa, được chia ra 3 đàn tương ứng với 3 lần lặp lại để đánh giá kích thước các chiều đo và khả năng sinh trưởng của giống gà. Gà từ 0 - 20 tuần tuổi được nuôi theo tiêu chuẩn Việt Nam (TCVN 2265-1994) và sử dụng thức ăn hỗn hợp hoàn chỉnh cho gà màu của Công ty Cổ phần Thức ăn Hoa Kỳ (Hải Dương). Kết quả nghiên cứu cho thấy, kích thước các chiều đo của gà lúc 8 tuần tuổi và 20 tuần tuổi con trống luôn cao hơn con mái, dài thân của trống tương ứng là 13,1 cm và 16,93 cm, mái là 11,12 cm và 13,99 cm, vòng ngực con trống là 22,13 cm và 28,77 cm, ở con mái là 19,74 cm và 25,66 cm; Khối lượng lúc 1 tuần tuổi trung bình là 33,3 gam, ở 20 tuần tuổi trống đạt 1741 gam, con mái đạt 1523 gam. Tiêu tốn thức ăn trung bình đến tuần thứ 20 là 4,71kg. Những kết quả đạt được là cơ sở để cung cấp thêm thông tin về giống gà nhiều cựa ở Thái Nguyên.

The multi-toes chicken breed is a precious genetic resource associated with livelihood and culture of everal ethnic in Nguyen province. This study was conducted on total 215 chickens, divided into 3 flocks corresponding to 3 replicates to assess the body dimensions and growth performance. The chickens aged f-rom 0 to 20 week were raised followed Vietnamese feeding standard (TCVN2265- 1994) and uesed feed of Hoa Ky feed company. Results showed that the local chickens had multi-tose, the body dimensions of chickens at 8 weeks and 20 weeks of age, the cock is always taller than the hen; The body length of the cock is 13.1 cm and 16.93 cm, the hen is 11.12 cm and 13.99 cm, the cock’s breast circumference is 22.13 cm and 28.77 cm, and the hen's is 19.74 cm and 25.66 cm; The weight of one day old chicks is 33.3 gram, and 20 weeks old hen and cock reached 1.523 gram and 1.741 gram and 1430.63 gram, respectively with feed conversion ratio of 4.71. The obtained results are the basis for providing more information about the multi-toes chicken breed in Thai Nguyen.
