This paper presents the results of research that looked at the color complex' that forms when Ru(II) is combined with 2,2'-bipyridin (Bpy) using the spectroscopy method. The results show that a color complex formats when the pH is between 6.1 - 8.2, with a pH of 7.0 being optimal for color complex formation. The molar absorbability coefficient of Ru(Bpy)2+/3 is (1.4274 +/- 0.0146) 104 L.mol/cm at a wavelength of 515 nm. The Beer law is obeyed in the lager range which can be used to determine the content of the Ruthenium.
