The study is conducted in 1002 children from 3 to 6 years old in Quang An kindergarten (Tay Ho district), Hoa Hong kindergarten (Cau Giay district) and Dong Da kindergarten (Dong Da district) in Hanoi. The authors used software WHO Anthro 2.04 and WHO AnthroPlus to study nutritional status of children on basis of anthropometric indexes, including weight for year and height for year. The results showed that these two software, WHO Anthro 2.04 and WHO AnthroPlus, includes three modules: Anthropometric Calculator, Individual Assessment and Nutritional Survey which are useful in studying anthropometric indexes of under-fiveyear children. The module Nutritional Survey and types of malnutrition of WHO showed its role in following nutritional movement all over the world, developing countries as well. Although there were some progress in growth, there were a proportion of children in the study suffered from malnutrition.
