The report presents the investigation of plant and vegetation diversity in Co Linh commune, Pac Nam district, Bac Kan province during the period of 2009-2010. There are 319 higher vascular plant species of 5 secsions: Equysetophyta (1 species, 1 genus, 1 family), Lycopodiophyta (3 species, 3 genera, 2 families), iophyta (15 species, 11 genera, 7 families), Pinophyta (2 species, 2 genera, 2 families) and noliophyta (298 species, 130 genera, 81 families). The flora in Co Linh commune was divided into following groups: Timber trees (102 species, 78 ra,41 families), edible plants (8 species, 5 genera, 5 families), medicinal plants (92 species, 78 a, 65 families), essential oil plants (33 species, 29 genera, 6 families). There are also other groups as vegetables, ornamental plants and dye-producing plants with less individual number and less use the local people., There were following types of vegetation: Tropical evergreen closed seasonal lowland forest, tropical Mrgreen dosed seasonal subalpine forest, evergreen broad-leaved scrub in land area with scattered tree es and short grassland (not graminea form) with scattered tree species and shrub.
